Badgers Abroad Blog Guidelines

 

Thank you for your interest in sharing your international experience on the Badgers Abroad Blog!

 

General guidelines:

1. Your story should be about 500 words (no more than 550).

2. Send us at least one picture to go with your story. The size should be roughly 500 by 500 pixels. Please don’t send more than 3 pictures.
   
   We assume if you send us a photograph of yourself that we have permission to post it on our blog and all other Division of International Studies publications. All UW–Madison students who appear in the photograph must provide us with permission before we can post that photograph.

3. You are also welcome to send us digital videos from your trip.

4. Make your story interesting and accessible for a general audience. Avoid academic jargon. Make your story personal whenever possible.

Please include the following information somewhere in your story:

1. What position do you hold at UW–Madison (undergraduate student, graduate student, international student, dissertator, professor, researcher, alumni etc.)

2. What is/was your primary field of study or major?

3. What UW resources made this international experience possible for you?

4. If you are an alum, what year did you finish your degree at UW–Madison? Have you been involved in any alumni activities since your graduation?

5. If you have a blog or online photo album from your international experience that you don’t mind sharing, please send us the link.
