About the Human Rights Initiative:

UW–Madison is an institution where faculty, staff, and students conduct field-defining research on human rights. This initiative coordinates diverse, interdisciplinary human rights activities on campus, promotes new research, and enhances existing studies. UW–Madison historically has been committed to research with practical applications, as represented by the Wisconsin Idea, and our scholars and students are engaged in efforts to improve human welfare around the world.
